Life is full of people who let things happen but history is shaped by people who make things happen. God has a plan for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
You can shape history when you refuse to let circumstance dominate your vision. God is greater than all circumstance. God always has a plan and we need to plan too. When we fail to plan; we plan to fail. Joshua and Caleb went to the promised land with ten other spies. The instructions were to check out the land. God told them in the beginning the land was theirs. Joshua and Caleb saw everything including the future. The other spies went to do a job. They were not equipped with a vision for the future. Their perception was based on what they saw when they arrived. They put vision in the hand of circumstance. Joshua and Caleb had the Spirit of God in their heart and mind. They were filled with confidence and looked past the enemy and focused on the promise. They believed that God is good and He is on our side. The other spies saw what they were not and focused on this. They said we are like grasshoppers in our own sight. The land is great the fruit is wonderful but.... Everyone knows the names of Joshua and Caleb. People don't even remember the names of the other spies. We can choose to be an answer or a problem. We can believe that God in us is able to do what He says we can do or we can believe that circumstance is greater than God.
Isaiah 60:1 (KJV)
1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Isaiah 60:2 (KJV)
2For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Matthew 6:21 (KJV)
21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
What we invest in is what we care about. The path of your strongest desire will propel you. What we believe attracts action in that area. The Bible puts it this way. Signs follow what you believe. God gave us a plan for success in the book of Joshua. When we put His words in our hearts they prepare a plan of success for us.
Joshua 1:7 (KJV)
7Only be thou strong and very courageous, that
thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant
commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left,
that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Gods' word gives you the strength and wisdom to carry out Gods' plan and produce the supernatural
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
8This book of the law shall not depart out of
thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest
observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make
thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
9Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a
good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is
with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Matthew 12:35 (KJV)
35A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
Proverbs 16:21 (KJV)
21The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
Matthew 6:22 (KJV)
22The light of the body is the eye: if therefore
thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
Matthew 6:23 (KJV)
23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
What are you saying? What comes out of your mouth is
what is in your heart. You can locate the level of faith you operate in by what
you think and what you say. Circumstance that is not harnessed through planning
can affect our ability to achieve our greatest desires.
God works with your plan
Proverbs 16:23 (KJV)
23The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
What you speak in the earth and to others is what God hears you speaking to Him. Your words have power to produce blessing or cursing, life or death. Choose to speak life and blessing. What you say is what you believe. What you believe is what you will act on. Signs follow the words that you say and the words that you speak.
Numbers 14:28 (KJV)
28Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Isaiah 45:11 (KJV)
11Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
John 16:23 (KJV)
23And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
Ecclesiastes 5:3 (KJV)
3For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.
The Bible tell us that we show our faith by our works. We are even told that faith without works is dead being alone. Planning takes work and diligent oversight. Without a plan a vision is subject to decay and confusion
It is better to do a limited number of things well than a lot of things poorly. The Bible says where your heart is your treasure will be there also. What you determine to improve and spend time on will show quality. If we are doing too many things the energy, vision and concentration is not available to perfect the details and oversee the plan. Prioritize! List things in order of importance and urgency. List the consequences for delay. Think about what you desire and make choices. Sometimes the project that screams the loudest is not the one that will yield lasting results.
Ecclesiastes 6:9 (KJV)
9Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
Work hard and finish what you start! Think about how to finish before you commit. Ask yourself what will this cost me in terms of time, energy and mental health. Consistent results and good performance take time and practice!
Proverbs 12:24 (KJV)
24The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but
the slothful shall be under tribute.
Ecclesiastes 7:8 (KJV)
8Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
Planning helps us to stay calm and patient. Planning gives us a realistic concept of the time it will take to accomplish the purpose.
Hebrews 10:35 (KJV)
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which
hath great recompense of reward.
Hebrews 10:36 (KJV)
36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Your mouth and your hands will make you or break you! Speak good things about what you are doing and who you are working with. Signs or actions follow what you believe and what is in your heart will come to your mouth. Make your mouth work for you and promote your plan.
Proverbs 12:14 (KJV)
14A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
Proverbs 16:20 (KJV)
20He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he
