Perseverance Delivers Power

  God will give you the power to endure and conquer. There is nothing too hard for Him. He can make the crooked places straight and the rough places smooth. He will make a way. People give up and fail when they lose hope. Adversity is something that happens in life. It is not something we choose. In these times God offers to hold your hand and strengthen you. He offers the comfort of His Holy Spirit and the counsel of His words.

¹⁰If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

Your strength is not small in God. He will give you all things that pertain to life and Godliness.

Leave your past behind, It does not have to be your future. Release your Yesterdays and receive your Tomorrows! Set your heart and your mind on what is ahead. Focus on how to shape your Destiny. What you mold in your heart you can hold in your hands. Faith and patience are the tools that will carve your future. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Without faith it is impossible to please God! We must believe that He is active in our lives today and that He  rewards  them that diligently seek Him.

    Confidence increases joy which creates strength. The Bible tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength! Not one promise of God will fall to the ground unanswered but each one will find its mate in fulfillment.. The word of God says "He hastens His word to perform it". You are in a race and God has declared you a winner. The only way you can lose is to drop out before you cross the finish line! It is possible to do all the work and lose the prize. This does not have to happen to you. God is on your side and His promises are yours.

¹⁹In your patience possess ye your souls.

    Your soul is your mind, will, imaginations and emotions. Winning starts in your thinking. As a man thinks in His heart so is he. What we think is determined by what we see and hear. The Lord says  same measure that we use to hear is the one that will be used to measure back to us. He also says Your vision is determined by the light that is in your heart. Jesus is the light of the world and His light lives in you. You can choose to turn it on to every part of your life or to leave your heart in darkness. Where light is, life is!

    In Bible days athletes would train with heavy weights to strengthen their bodies. They would even run long distances with these weights strapped to the body. At the time of the race they would strip everything off even their clothes. They would allow nothing to compromise their concentration and focus only on the race in front of them. The race was long and as they grew tired they would not think about negative things like how they felt or who seemed to be ahead of them. They would race just as they trained. They would allow nothing to stop them from finishing.

²Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

    Jesus is seated at the right hand of God making intercession for us. He wants you to get the reward. He says I have come so you can have life in abundance. He is your chief coach and cheerleader. He will never give up on you and He will guide you every step of the way. He will help you and strengthen you. Just ask Him!

The Work Of Patience

³And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience;  

    This word works is better translated exercises or puts to work. Each action brings life to the next. Tribulation can be your servant instead of your master. You choose who is in charge! God in you can do all things! When you let tribulation rule, hope is decreased. It has been proven that happy people live nineteen percent longer. When we practice patience, we get experience which produces hope

    Trying here can be translated exercising. Works can be translated produces. Exercise  your faith, produce patience

    The Lord Himself prays for you! The Bible says he lives forever and is seated at the right hand of God making intercession for you. The right hand is known as the place of power and favor. You are favored of God because Jesus loves you!
